Great
king
salmon
and halibut opportunities for the months
of May & June!!
Each year as the salmon and
halibut start their migration into the waters of Alaska's Inside
Passage, there are some great fishing opportunities during the
months of May and June in Cross Sound and Icy Strait.
These locations lend themselves to lodging at inns and
guesthouses closer to the Cross Sound and Icy Strait areas.
HiTime Charters has made arrangements with two fine
lodging establishments, one in each location, and is offering the
following great spring season specials.
The Cross Sound
Adventure:
| The Cross Sound Adventure is listed
first as it is closest to the Gulf of Alaska and the fish
will pass here first. Lodging is offered at the Hobbit
Hole Guesthouse. The Hobbit Hole is a small bay located on the
Southwest corner of the largest of the
Inian Islands
where Cross Sound and the Gulf of Alaska meet the Western entrance to
Icy Strait. A rustic Alaska location with a very modern guesthouse.
Access is by boat or float plane from Juneau.

The Icy Strait Extravaganza:
| The Icy Strait Extravaganza is so called because
there are so many things to do, sightseeing, wildlife watching and, oh
yes, golf within walking distance, while staying at the
Growley Bear Inn. It is located in the remote community
of Gustavus. Situated
just outside the entrance to Glacier Bay National Park,
this area is renowned for its world-class fishing and
abundant wildlife. Alaska Airlines has direct jet service
to the Gustavus airport during the late spring and summer
months. |
