The new generation of the C/V HiTime is a 28 foot welded
aluminum sport fishing vessel built by Boulton Powerboats, Inc. of Central
Point, OR. She was built in the winter/spring of 2006, launched in Juneau in
mid-May and started her life as a charter boat a few days later.
Powered by twin state of the art 250 hp. Yamaha outboards, she cruises at near
30 mph. A fast trip to and return from the fishing grounds means more time
fishing and less time running.
Creature comforts are important and the HiTime is outfitted to
make sure you will be comfortable. The cabin is heated by a diesel furnace to
keep it warm and cozy on those cool, damp days that are common in SE Alaska
during the summer months. The head (bathroom) with electric flush toilet is
equal in stature with the furnace as the two most comforting items. Seating in
the cabin comfortably accommodates six passengers and the crew of two. The galley
area includes a sink with fresh running water and there is always hot coffee in
the pump pot. If you are in the mood for something cold there are sodas in the
refrigerator. Alaska snacks (smoked salmon, cheese and crackers), are served on
all half day charters and sandwiches are available for full day trips.
As a passenger carrying vessel, safety is our main concern.
The HiTime is equipped with state of the art navigation and
communication equipment. This equipment includes GPS, radar,
chart plotter, depth sounder and 2 VHF radios. There are personal flotation
devices (life jackets) for 8 adults and 2 children and a throwable safety device.
